La Direction de la Recherche et des Etudes Doctorales(DRED) de la Vice-Présidence chargée de la Recherche et de la Coopération Internationale (VP-RCI ) de l’Université Joseph KI-ZERBO (UJKZ)   a organisé , du 20 au 22 décembre 2023,  une session  de formation sur la Propriété Intellectuelle et la Valorisation de la Recherche Scientifique . L’UJKZ à travers la DRED  répond ainsi   à ses missions de formation des cadres compétents en vue de contribuer au développement économique, social et culturel du Burkina Faso et promouvoir la recherche et l’innovation.

Plusieurs modules en lien avec la Propriété Intellectuelle étaient au menu de cette formation de 72h : (1) la généralité sur la protection intellectuelle ; (2) les mécanismes de protection des résultats de recherche : cas du brevet d’invention ;  (3) des procédures de protection des résultats de recherche: cas du brevet d’invention ;  (4) mécanismes d’exploitation des résultats de recherche.  Les bénéficiaires sont des enseignants-chercheurs des Écoles Doctorales : Sciences et Technologie (ED-ST), Lettres Sciences Humaines et Communication (ED-LESHCO) ; Sciences de la Santé (2S) , du  Bureau de Transfert de Technologies-incubateur d’Entreprise (BTTi)  et des représentants de  la Vice-Présidence chargée  de la Recherche et de la Coopération Internationale (VP-RCI).

Les participants ont manifesté leur désir de s’approprier ces modules sur la propriété intellectuelle, la valorisation des résultats de la recherche. Et formateur   Mahamadi TASSEMBEDO de confirmer la pertinence de cette formation en citant Y de Kermadec qui dit ceci : << Protéger, c’est transformer de l’argent en droit de Propriété intellectuelle ; Valoriser, c’est l’inverse…>>.  Il   y a donc intérêt à   valoriser les résultats de la recherche et de l’innovation.
